Yes, you can buy tickets at Hua Takhe station. Or you could take the Airport Rail Link to Lat Krabang, and change to the train station of the same name next door.

I wanted to take the line at one stop, that of Hua Takhe (near the airport) to avoid taking the train at Hua Lamphong station. Is it possible to buy tickets at this Hua Takhe station?

You will need to make your way to Poipet which is on the border with Thailand. Then cross there. There are two trains a day. At 6:58 a.m. and 2:50 p.m. If you miss the last train, there is a hotel there you can stay the night or just catch a bus to Bangkok.
