How to Cancel Train Tickets on DTicket?

This is my firsthand experience of cancelling a train ticket. As I bought the ticket on DTicket I just logged in and clicked “ticket cancel”. I could have cancelled it at the station but I would have to print out the e-ticket first. But please note, if it is less than three hours before departure, you cannot get a refund.

When you cancel, the fee is 70% of the ticket price. Which means you will get 30% back. In my case, my ticket was around 1,000 baht and I got back 300 baht. I lost around 700 baht. I paid using my Wise account. This has a virtual Visa card. I cancelled at around 6:00pm and the money was returned to my Wise account 36 hours later. The time it takes to get your refund depends on how you paid and your bank. Some foreign banks may take longer. From what I understand, if I had paid with QR Code using my Thai bank account, I would have got the money back straight away.

If you have cancelled tickets before, please post your experience in the comments below.
