Lop Buri 2 (Tha Wung) Railway Station
Lop Buri 2 (Tha Wung) Railway Station is a new Class 1 elevated station on the Northern Line, located in Tha Wung District, Lop Buri Province, about 8 kilometres west of Lop Buri city and roughly 125 kilometres north of Bangkok. Opened as part of the Lop Buri–Pak Nam Pho double-tracking project, it has replaced the original Lop Buri Station for all long-distance Northern Line services, including special express, express, and rapid trains. The station is spacious, modern, and designed to improve punctuality by allowing trains to bypass congestion in Lop Buri’s busy old town. Free shuttle services link Lop Buri 2 with the original city-centre station, making it easy for travellers to reach Lop Buri’s main attractions, including Phra Prang Sam Yot, King Narai’s Palace, and the monkey-filled old quarter.
