Ordinary No. 283: Bangkok to Chuk Samet

This is Ordinary No. 283 train that goes between Bangkok Station (Hua Lamphong) and Chuk Samet in Chonburi province. This is a popular beach train for holidaymakers at the weekend as you can visit Bangsaen Beach, Pattaya Beach, and Nang Ram Beach. The train departs Bangkok at 6:55 a.m. There are only 3rd Class carriages available with fans and open seats. You cannot book online or reserve seats and so it is first come first served. Tickets go on sale at the station up to two hours in advance. There is also a weekend express train Special No. 997 that leaves ten minutes earlier and reaches Pattaya over an hour earlier. For this train you do need to book in advance.
