How to Change Passport Details on D-Ticket?
Whenever a foreigner applies for a new passport, the passport number changes. This means you have to inform your local Immigration office, the Department of Land Transport, your bank, and many other people who use your passport number as part of your identification. For Thais, they keep their ID number for their lifetime, but for many of us foreigners, we have to update everything every ten years when our passport expires. This includes our membership details on the State Railway of Thailand’s D-Ticket for buying train tickets.
Unfortunately, there is no way for you to change your details on the D-Ticket website or in the app. It has to be done manually. What you have to do is send a message to the inbox of the Facebook page of the State Railway of Thailand and ask them to do that for you. Tell them your old passport number and send a photo of the photo page in your new passport. If you don’t have Facebook, you should be able to do this at your local railway station.

Hi Richard, much respect for the website and the work that you do. Just a comment on my experience changing the passport number on my d-ticket account. Not having access to Facebook, I waited until visiting Thailand from the UK and presented myself at Hua Lamphong with passports old and new. Between them the staff understood my request but were unable to assist, so I wonder if this is at all possible at railway stations?
My Thai wife called 1690 and we got a link to some email or text account to which we were able to upload photos of the passports, so success in the end! Kind regards, David
