Extra Sleeper Trains to Chiang Mai for Songkran

It is expected that the State Railway of Thailand (SRT) will lay on extra trains during the Songkran holiday as all the regular trains filled up months in advance. Of particular interest is Special Express No. 5/6 that was put on last year to run between Bangkok and Chiang Mai during the new year holiday. There has been no official confirmation about this from SRT, however, some timetables have been leaked already. It is expected that tickets for these trains will go on sale soon.
