Guide to Express No. 75: Bangkok to Nong Khai

Express No. 75 train goes from Bangkok to Nong Khai in eight hours and 45 minutes. It leaves Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal Station at 8:45 a.m. and arrives in Nong Khai at 5:30 p.m. This train goes via the Bua Yai (Lam Narai) branch line (Kaeng Khoi Junction to Bua Yai Junction). It passes along the viaduct over Pasak Chonlasit reservoir between 11:00am and 11:30am.

This train has 2nd Class air-conditioned carriages (251 Baht) and 3rd Class fan carriages (168 Baht). If you are going at least 60% of the route you can book tickets up to 180 days in advance. You can also take this train to visit popular destinations such as Ayutthaya (20 Baht/245 Baht), Saraburi (40 Baht/265 Baht), Khon Kaen (227 Baht/399 Baht), and Udon Thani (245 Baht/479 Baht). If you are only going a short distance such as to Ayutthaya or Saraburi, you can only buy one day before the train departs. The return journey is made by Express No. 76 train.
