List of Trains that go from Bangkok to Pak Chong

Think rolling hills, lush greenery, and a whole lot of adventure – that’s Pak Chong for you! This cool little town is the perfect escape from the city. It’s famous for being right next to the amazing Khao Yai National Park, where you’ll find stunning waterfalls and an abundance of wildlife.

There are seven trains between Bangkok and Pak Chong Station in Nakhon Ratchasima Province. One is an Ordinary train that leaves from Bangkok’s Hua Lamphong (BKK) station. The remaining are the long distance trains that leave from Krung Thep Aphiwat Central Terminal (KTW).

The fastest day train to Pak Chong is Special Express No. 21, which departs from Krung Thep Aphiwat Station at 6:10 a.m. and arrives at 8:52 a.m., two hours and 42 minutes later. This train offers 2nd Class carriages with air-conditioning and reclining seats. It is recommended to book this train in advance as it often sells out.

An alternative option is Rapid No. 135, which departs from Krung Thep Aphiwat Station at 7:10 a.m. and arrives at 10:52 a.m., three hours and 42 minutes later. This train offers both 2nd and 3rd Class carriages with seats and fans. If you prefer 2nd Class, it is advisable to book in advance. However, if you are willing to travel in 3rd Class, you may have luck finding a ticket at short notice.

Other day time trains available include Express No. 71 and Ordinary No. 233. The latter departs from Bangkok Station (Hua Lamphong).
