Bangkok to Krabi – By Train, Bus and Plane
There are no direct trains from Bangkok to Krabi. The nearest destination is Trang which is a tourist destination in itself. I would suggest go there first to visit nearby islands and then catch a bus from Trang to Krabi. You can also catch direct buses from Bangkok or even fly from Bangkok to Krabi.

If you want to go by train to Trang and then by bus to Krabi, I suggest that you catch Express No. 83 that arrives at 8:15 a.m. or Rapid No. 167 that arrives at 11:00 a.m. There are a number of good hotels near the station if you want to stay overnight and do some day trips first. Otherwise it is 50 baht on a motorcycle taxi to the local bus station.
If you don’t want to go as far as Trang, there are also buses to Krabi from Surat Thani and Thung Song. Surat Thani is also the gateway to Samui and nearby islands and also to Khao Sok National Park.
